As some people may be aware..it’s almost my birthday and I celebrated early by getting myself a Lee filter set and a superb creative filter called the “Big Stopper” was given to me as an early birthday present..so today I went out and put it to the test.

The weather here is clear but cold..it’s supposed to feel as minus 5 today with the wind…and it did. I  braved the elements and took camera, tripod, filters and the dog out with me for an hour and these are the results. The Big Stopper effectively stops the camera down by 10 stops, allowing water to see smooth, see clouds moving and people moving in your pictures. in these two pictures you can see the effect, in the first one on the ultra smooth water (the wind wasn’t strong enough or the exposure long enough to show movement in the clouds) and in the second one with people moving around….I need to play some more..but they’re a good start !!
